Airports contribute decisively to the commercial and social progress of the region where they are located. They function as poles of development which naturally attract a large number of companies to them. The Directorate for Real Estate at ANA was created in 2000 in the ambit of a reorganisation of the non-aviation commercial area of the company.
Mission The mission of the Directorate for Real Estate is the development, management, and administration of those grounds and buildings that make up the perimeter of the airports and that are susceptible to urbanisation or various reshaping for use of the airport. The principal object is to maximise the business potential that each airport can obtain by searching to establish sustained value, preferentially with the support of leaders in the business field.
To achieve this, the following aspects must be considered:
• Traffic flow and its characteristic features;
• Predominant economic activities in the zone in which they are located, and their degree of development;
• Attractiveness offered by the airport for the setting up of business ventures on airport property.
