PORTO AIRPORT INVESTS IN NEW COMMERCIAL AREAS

 

Porto Airport has renovated its commercial area in the area restricted to departures. Highlights are the opening of Victoria's Secret, the second store in Portugal and the adding of 1,500m2 of retail space that has led to the creation of another 125 jobs. It is expected that this investment of 1.6 million euros will lead to an increase in sales of 26%.

The opening of the third Portfolio store, the remodelling and enlargement of the Duty Free Store, the creation of a new centralised sales area, featuring prestigious new international and national brands, are an invitation to a new experience of comfort and leisure before boarding.

Closely surrounding the retail area, a food court can be found, with more area and offering a greater range, in response to the high passenger growth that has been seen at Porto Airport. The gastronomic experience can go from a more leisurely meal to a quick grab&go.

A new centrality

The DUTY FREE STORE has grown and now has twice the usable sales area. It comprises 940m2 of contemporary and attractive design, heavily inspired by the sense of place of Porto and the Douro.

This interpretation is applied to the space through various features: ceilings which reproduce the forms of the vine terraces or evoke casks and Port wine boxes; references to the colour of Port wine that is reflected in the walls and furniture; the use of cork and the art of azulejo (ceramic tiles) that are reinterpreted here.

The walkthrough, as a common circulation area within the store, has an intuitive circulation format for the passengers, leading them to discover national and international products and flavours. The main areas of the store are: Perfumes & Cosmetics, Tobacco Products, Drinks, Chocolates/Pastries, Taste of Portugal, and Promotional Areas.

In the belief that an airport is not only a place of passage, but also a valuable opportunity to create and develop the image of the destination in which it is located, ANA has created the store PORTFOLIO, whose operating management is provided by ÁREAS: a brand “made of Portugal”, which lives and breathes all the authenticity, originality, creativity and innovation of which Portugal is made.

Culture, Fashion, Flavours, Crafts and Design make up the segments that define the world of choice offered by PORTFOLIO, inspired by Portuguese brands, carefully selected and fundamentally attuned to the true spirit of the project. 

With 300m2 of sales area, the PORTFOLIO at Porto Airport is the brand's third store. 

Food Court

In the food court it is possible to enjoy some new concepts: the Douro with its choice of traditional Portuguese dishes, the Italian cuisine of the Italian House, where show-cooked pizzas and pasta dishes are found, as well as fresh aromatic salads.

For the lovers of oriental cuisine, a new restaurant, Sushi Passion opened, which also offers an extensive range of Gins.

Passengers with less time also have the possibility of choosing a quick and light meal at the FIRST CLASS CAFÉ.

Inspired by one of the city of Porto's most traditional snacks, the typical FRANCESINHA offers exclusive recipes with a touch of Superbock's craft beer. There, you will also find a variety of snacks, such as Porto-style tripe, salads, cured ham sandwiches, and much more, not to mention the famous beer in its traditional or craft varieties, and the typical wine of the Douro.

DELI&CIA is a grab&go food concept offering a broad range of pre-packaged fresh, high quality food, with vegetarian and organic options, ready to eat or take away. 

CAFFRÍCCIO is a coffee shop tailor made for the passenger, where the best coffees combine with the best moments.

BURGER KING is a franchise internationally known for its hamburgers and quick service, which guarantees a quality selection to passengers.

In the CHOCOLATE LOUNGE, are found some of the world's best chocolate brands: Godiva, Neuhaus, Valrhona, Arcádia, Villars, Leónidas and Goldkenn, among others. 

There is also a WINE BAR. A place of sophistication and comfort, offering a menu born from a fusion of gastronomy and good wine. Here the customer can enjoy the best wine or buy a bottle as a gift.

Fashion and Accessories

ATTITUDE is a multi-brand store in the premium segment, with 292m2, where brands such as Montblanc, Hugo Boss, Longchamp, Superdry and Guess can be found.

ALE HOP is a store for all ages that combines accessories and gadgets that bring more colour and enjoyment to shopping. In TRAVEL & BUSINESS + SPORTS AT HEART we find two distinct concepts for those who like to travel, the concept store Travel & Business Gate is the ideal place to choose from the latest trends in luggage and travel accessories by the most renowned international brands such as Tumi, Rimowa, Porsche Design, Samsonite, Delsey, Bugatti and Bric's.

For those who have never stopped loving sports, Sports at Heart combines fashion and sport with the presence of various top-quality prestigious brands for the widest range of sports such as football, running and motorsports, and includes numerous promotional items from leading European football clubs. In addition to sporting gear, you may also find accessories and gadgets.

There is also a special place within this store for the Futebol Clube do Porto, the city's iconic club, where passengers can acquire various items of merchandise.

FASHION GATE is a multi-brand space dedicated to a series of highly prestigious national and international brands of fashion and accessories for all styles and ages, such as Calvin Klein Jeans, Max Mara Weekend, Lacoste, Coccinelle, Fly London, Liu Jo, Diesel, Pepe Jeans, Desigual, G-Star and Hilfiger Denim.

PARFOIS, the most prestigious brand of Portuguese-based fashion accessories, has opened its second shop, increasing the range on offer with a complete collection of clothing and footwear.

And lastly, a special mention for the stationers RELAY, which has been remodelled, enlarged and reopened in a new location.​
