New restaurants in Lisboa Airport Terminal 1

Anyone embarking in Lisbon, from Terminal 1, has now more reasons to arrive early at the Airport.

In the area reserved for passengers with boarding cards, a 1,555m2 food court area has opened to the public, with a series of new brands: Versailles bakery, O Mercado, Cockpit Bar, McDonald's, McCafé, KFC and Pizza Hut.

New units

Versailles – For those who are nostalgic for the city of Lisbon, the most elegant and emblematic bakery in the city is an essential stop. A variety of deliciously tempting cakes, all home made. The Versailles bakery also operates as a restaurant, serving simple dishes, which must certainly include such icons as the croquete, made of the best loin of veal, the rissol, the most elaborate meat, and salt cod dishes, prepared in full view of customers in the imposing Rotisserie.

O Mercado – Inspired by the traditional markets and with a modern design, O Mercado brings its customers a varied range of products, where you can have some of the best pastéis de nata in Lisbon (made right in front of the customer), have a beer with a delicious snack, buy fruit and vegetables, and even watch the process of making codfish pastries. At O Mercado, customers will also find a vast offering of hot dishes, salads and tapas, prepared with the freshest ingredients.

Cockpit – The new bar menu will include tapas, little pans with comfort food (ovos rotos, pica pau, mac & cheese, alheira sausage), toast, bruschettas, pregos and hamburgers, soups, salads and desserts presented on traditional tableware. The cafeteria offers hot and cold drinks, pastries, and sandwiches on the go.

McDonald's – presents a new image and introduces at Lisbon Airport the concept of McCafé.

KFC – Also starting today, passengers can count on the offering of KFC and Pizza Hut, now with a completely renovated image and a selection consisting of delicious slices of pan pizza in the most varied compositions, innovating in the flavours of the pizza and delighting the traveller at every visit.

Soon, openings are scheduled for the international brand Paul, the pastry shop Dots Bakery and the concept Go Natural.

Also opening its doors to the public shortly is a new concept in ice creams and iced desserts created in Portugal – the Gelati Di Chef –, which combines the quality of ice cream, biscuits and home-made cones with the culinary creativity of a chef.

At a time when the T1 of Lisbon Airport has recorded a 5% growth in the number of passengers, this new culinary offering will ensure a new experience to those passing through the restricted departures area.

In the new food court, passengers will be able to enjoy a comfortable area with pleasant surroundings and a relaxing shopping atmosphere. This is one more step by ANA to improve the passenger experience and adapt its spaces to ever more cosmopolitan segments.
